Why You Are Enough

Mindfulness

Every week we talk about ways to find self-improvement, more happiness, and how we can live the best possible life. It’s a great mindset to be in to always want to be better and do better. It’s important, however, to remember to stay in the moment and be accepting of where we are in this moment. Each and every one of us is at a different stage in our lives, which is why it is so important not to compare and base our success on the successes and achievements of others. This week, we are going to drop all of the advice, the possibilities and the unknowns of life, and just drop into the understanding and acceptance of being “enough” in this moment.

I know this is a really tough concept to grasp, and it’s a tricky line to toe. The key to really understanding “enoughness” is finding balance. Striving for that middle path where you are not too complacent where life passes you by, and not going overboard and becoming too controlling, strangling your own life. Once you are at that place of real acceptance and gratitude for what is in the now, you find a real sense of peace and ease.

If all of this sounds really great for you, and you want to incorporate this into your life, check out these tips below to find peace in this moment, and remember moment-by-moment that you are enough.

  1. Everyday set an intention to love yourself just as you are. We all know the power of the mind at this point. We are our thoughts; choose them wisely. If you’re struggling to feel your own power and importance every day, gear your thoughts towards self-love. Remind yourself every morning that you are enough and that you are loved.
  2. Take (really good) care of yourself. It’s not narcissistic or selfish to honor, love, and take care of yourself. It’s actually super important! How can you live that awesome life of your dreams if you’re not feeling well? Tap into yourself and find what makes you feel good, and do it consistently.
  3. Know that life is all about the journey, not the destination. Many times we feel that we aren’t enough when we come from a lack mentality. Generally stemming from comparison to others, we feel that we’ll never reach our goals, be as good as someone else, or be as successful as we want to be. Our lives are not meant to be one massive shiny goal with a bow on top; it’s a series of achievements with growth, emotions, change, and movement. Remember that even if you are in a difficult phase of life, you are still on your own wonderful journey of creating your own life.

Let me know how you’re doing with this concept. I love hearing from you! How do you feel like you’re enough each and every day?
