Cultivating Strength and Resilience in 2025
January 17, 2025
When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, “Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.”

Dear Friends,
Though we are only half-way through the first month of 2025, the list of devastation and tragedy feels endless. We know this month has brought challenges for many, most recently those impacted by the devastating wildfires in Southern California. Our hearts are heavy for faced with uncertainty and loss, and we’re holding everyone in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
This season serves as a reminder of the resilience and strength within each of us. Just as communities come together to rebuild, we too can focus on aligning ourselves with compassion and grace as we navigate the start of this new year.
In today’s premium newsletter, we’re shifting the focus from hustle to harmony. Rather than rushing to meet resolutions or chasing an idealized version of ourselves, let’s use this time to pause, reflect, and align with our intentions for 2025.
Here’s what you’ll find in today’s letter:
- Intention Setting Guide and Reflection
- 5 Reminders to Start the Year with Grace
- Goal Setting Guide and Visualization Practice
Let’s also take a moment to reflect on how we can help those impacted by the California fires. When communities face devastation, our collective intention can shift toward support and solidarity. If you’re able, consider donating to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, Pasadena Humane, or these verified Go Fund Me’s to aid those in need.
This is also a reminder that our intentions can and should evolve based on what’s happening in the world around us. In hard times, it’s even more important to focus on our inner strength and well-being. By taking care of ourselves, we build the resilience needed to show up for others and make a meaningful difference.
Together, let’s create a beautiful, peaceful, and compassionate year ahead.
With love and support,
The PMPL Team
