Being Not Doing

Mindfulness

As goal-seeking, dream-making, co-creators in this wild and crazy life, we have high aspirations for how our lives pan out. Most of the time, when we have a desired outcome or a change that we want to create, we often ask ourselves, “What do I need to do to get there?” We are usually focused on the doing. But as one of my greatest teachers once pointed out to me, we are human beings, not human doings, and there lies the answer to all of our questions about how we can co-create, manifest, and bring forth the very best life. The answer is being not doing.

What energy are you living in right now?
Are you stuck in fear?
Are you living freely? Are you anxious?
Are you joyful?
Where are you right now in this moment?
Then take a look at what it is that you are truly trying to bring into your life. Does your current energy match that which you are looking to create?

As we know via The Law of Attraction, like attracts like.
Your vibe, your energy, your thoughts, your actions all create your reality. I truly believe this. If we start to analyze our part in the world we live in, we start to take back our power. I may not like what’s happening somewhere else, but I can sweep up my side of the street by living in high energy, thinking good thoughts, and having a positive effect on my surroundings, therefore creating a ripple effect.

When you are in full alignment with how you are being, the doing part will fall into place. When you truly understand yourself, understand your nature, and understand your purpose, the actions and the steps will become apparent. As much as I don’t want to say this, because I know some of you may think it’s too crazy or too bold ― we really don’t need to do, for the sake of doing.

Set the intention to be, and the actions will come. When we place intention, purpose, and meaning on the doing (the action, the form, the physical), we get out of our hearts and into our thinking mind. Which isn’t a bad thing, but there is a time and a place for it. If we are looking for true change, that will provide deep, life-long, unwavering happiness, we must start with how we are being. The intention must be set on how can we live with as much integrity, alignment, passion, power, purpose, and love as possible. The details that the rational thinking mind and world require will fall into place.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this! Keep me posted in the comments below!

xoxo, Michelle
